Thetiming belt replacement intervals are different depending on what model year and engine you have in your Volkswagen Polo. Further down on this page you will find information about the intervals for different years and engines. Also keep in mind that some motors have a timing chain. These usually do not need to be replaced.
Ourdata shows us that the interval is 48 months or 100,000 miles (160,000km), whichever comes sooner. Answered by Shane O'Donoghue. 10.12.2015.
Rule1 All dealers are liars. VAG dealers offer a 5 year warranty on new belts/pump and whilst they may charge a few £'s more than a local indy they will only give you a minimal warranty (probably expires as soon as you drive away). In my opinion its worth paying a bit more if you are keeping the car. Hope that helps.
bluemoon2020 Welcome.. If you look at posts today in the Karoq and Octavia Mk3 sections of Briskoda you will see threads with posts about 1.5 TSI ACT's and Skoda / VW clearing up the miss-information that has come from VW UK Group, Skoda, VW, SEAT and Audi on 5 years intervals for replacing cam belts and that is the same Inthis video I am taking you through a step by step process on how to change your own cambelt and water pump for when it is due for replacement or a coolant 9znR.
